There are many things to do in Lake
Placid, including swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, golf, bird watching, hiking, and shopping. In April, the
Lake Placid Chamber of Commerce holds it's annual Bass Tournament. In August, Lake Placid hosts the Caladium Festival, with food, entertainment, plants for
sale, arts & crafts, and an antique & classic car show. Nearby Sebring is the place to be for car racing in
March, at the Sebring International Raceway.
